‘I feel I can do some things but can’t always show others what I can do. ‘I sometimes feel like the odd one out’. ‘I’m sure I could achieve more if I had the right help’. Sound familiar? Maybe you feel you have untapped talents, or some challenges in areas that others seem to find easy.
Let Neurodiversity App (ND-App) help you.
About ND App
The ND App is your personalised guide to identifying and nurturing your skills, enabling you to thrive at home, work or in education. This App helps unlock your strengths and identifies challenges to your personal growth, offering advice and guidance that can help you be the best you can be, as well as gaining insights into any problem areas. Neurodiversity App is the first app worldwide that screens for neurodiversity and identifies strengths and challenges and provides practical suggestions to help you to be the best you can.
What does this strength and challenge screening app do?
The ND App is a screener that processes your information to produce a personalised skill-set report. ND App uses state of the art research and latest technology to help identify your strengths and challenges in these areas - Cognitive skills, Emotion, Feelings, Organising, Time Management, Speaking, Listening, Literacy, Numeracy and Motor Skills. The highly informative
report can provide a discussion point with those who support you, including family, managers and educational support. Revolutionary technology developed by internationally recognised cognitive and learning specialists creates your report identifying key areas that may require attention.
Who can ND App help?
The app, questions and reports are designed for anyone over 16 years of age who wants to understand themselves better and thinks they maybe neurodiverse or already been diagnosed having one or more conditions but wants a better understanding of themselves overall.
Is ND App accessible?
Yes. ND App is at the forefront of accessible technology enabling questions and reports to be read out aloud. You can also change colours and fonts. It has not been specifically designed for those with visual and hearing impairment as the responses may alter because of specific challenges. This may need to be considered when completing the tool if you do have a visual or hearing impairment.
How can ND App help me?
It can help you to start to understand your strengths and challenges, be they are home, work or in education. The report can be emailed to you, identifies key areas that may require some attention and provides practical tips to help. Although designed as a screener, it may provide a starting point for discussions such as managers, in education or your family. It may help you to
consider if having a full diagnostic assessment would be worthwhile.
Is there lots of reading to do?
The questions and the onscreen report can be read out to you using your phone text-to-speech.
What areas does it look at?
You may have come across terms such as neurodiversity, a positive term that describes people who have a varying cognitive profile. Conditions under this umbrella term include: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, Developmental Language Disorders and Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (also known as Dyspraxia). There is a lot of terminology out there, and the focus is to identify specific areas of challenge as well as looking at what you are good at. However, from work we have done in the past ten years the report indicates traits in the areas of:
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
Dyscalculia
Dyslexia
Developmental Language Disorders
Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (also known as Dyspraxia or DCD)
*Note: This should not be seen as a diagnostic tool.
